Location: Ilkley, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom

I've been to all sorts of nice places, home and abroad, I've met all manner of good folk, but I'm a child of the Dales, of the hills and streams, the moors and rocks, Yorkshire's in my soul.

Walking Yorkshire - Pen-Y-Ghent

There it is, it went in and out of view a bit as the clouds and rain swept across the summit, but the six of us stayed mostly dry on the walk.

Patrick, Joshua, Wosser, Stephen and Joseph (and Toby the dog) on the summit having a quick bite to eat before venturing back out into the powerful winds on the ridge path to the summit. It was windy, very windy indeed.

Have we put the boys off hiking for life ?

Or are we setting our sights on Whernside in a couple of weeks time ?
